Fly Tying

Welcome to the club's main fly tying page. There are a number of members who have contributed so much to make the club’s fly tying classes successful and to give you access to valuable tying resources.

Bob Hazlett – Fly Tying Committee Chairman
Bob has been responsible for creating and launching the
Advanced Fly Tyers Seminar Series.

Woody Woodward - Chief Instructor (both Beginner and
Intermediate) Woody (in his new "bib" to the right) has
also worked on all the recipes for the flies in the 2009
classes as well as updating many of the recipes for the fly
tying library on the web site.

Bob Cain - Assistant Instructor, Beginner Class
Additionally Bob Cain has done the photography, setup, typing, and quality control on the step-by-step instructions for all classes, seminars, and the website archives.
Bob Cain and Woody have been responsible for laying out both Beginner and Intermediate curricula (Beginner is now ten weeks and Intermediate is twelve weeks), producing the list of required material and procuring all of the material. Bob also worked with Gander Mountain to set the schedule for the classes.

Dale Stevens
- Assistant Instructor, Intermediate Class

Bob Hazlett, Woody and Bob Cain have worked to build and maintain the set of "Beginner Tool Kits" that we have available for new students to "sign out" for the Beginner class.

Finally, this year our program has exceeded the budget capacity of the club.  We have received donations from several club members who wish to remain anonymous to make the program go as planned without having to gut it to get below the budget limit.

Also many thanks to our friends at Gander Mountain for providing space for the classes.
